Unfortunately, there have been several negative effects of climate change. For instance, the earth’s ecosystems and environments are being destroyed at an incredible rate. One of the most drastic changes that have occurred in the Arctic. In the Arctic, sea ice has declined and is thinning rapidly. Based upon scientists, they predict that the first ice-free summer in the Arctic will occur within 2040-2060. Moreover, Montana’s Glacier National Park started off with 150 glaciers in 1850, but now there are only twenty-five glaciers remaining. Mosley-Thompson and her team hypothesize that the last tropical glaciers will disappear within the next decade.
